Retreat Includes
Evening Drinks— let us welcome you with this relaxed, informal introductory get together to kick off your stay at one of the village’s iconic pubs. By the way , did you know Cornwall is renowned for its top-class GIN!? (just sayin’)
3 personalised 1:1 flute lessons with Jessica Quiñones in her St Agnes Studio—Get expert guidance and personalised lessons tailored exactly to meet your playing, whatever your needs and personal goals might be.
An additional 1:1 flute lesson after your retreat weekend has ended—Take your additional lesson with Jessica to revisit anything that was discussed in your sessions, and get more help for any of your flute needs (available up to 3 months after the retreat has ended and is available online, or in person if you will be returning to Cornwall in that time period).
Flute ensemble session—Get a chance to read through advanced chamber repertoire music written for flute in a relaxed, informal setting—all while getting some guidance and flute expertise at the same time. Bring your alto, bass and piccolo along too, if you wish!
Dedicated pedagogy session—A ‘Q and A’ style class about different teaching methods. Try out your skills, get advice on different teaching styles and build your teaching tool-kit! Not a teacher yourself? No problem, you will be bound to deepen your knowledge about your playing in this class, thus being beneficial to everyone.
2-3 hour professionally guided group coastal walk along the famously beautiful south west coastal path with your own private tour guide, Roger Radcliffe—With breathtaking views and sweeping dramatic vistas, take time to soak it all in as you are expertly guided along the cliffs and beaches, with plenty of time for a bit of local story-telling and time for pics (and Poldark spotting, too!)
Send-off good-bye lunch—Allow us to say goodbye and reminisce about our special 5 days together with a group lunch at one of St. Agnes’ favourite and highly popular eateries. (Vegetarian, Vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free options are all available)
Free time built into your retreat schedule—How will you decide what to do with so many choices besides playing your flute? During the day you could book a massage with our resident retreat masseuse, swim and /or sunbathe at the 4 local beaches within walking distance, browse the local artisan shops, visit the local brewery, take a surf lesson, go sea-kayaking, try your hand at coasteering, cozy out at a café, ride horses from local stables, visit the local museums, take a well deserved snooze…
In the evenings—you could check out some live folk music in the many local pubs, take an evening walk to the beach to stargaze, indulge in local award-winning foodie restaurants or even go into nearby Truro, Perranporth Newquay for a night out (all easily accessible by public transportation).

practitioners while you are here:
Drop-in to one (or two!) yoga class(es) with Amy Jones—allow yourself the space to reconnect with your breath and your body in this gentle and playful vinyasa flow class designed for all-levels of yogis, from absolute beginner to novice. (£9, payable to Amy directly at your class)
Book a 60 minute treatment—of either a full/ part-body body-massage, Reiki or a personalised meditation session (or combo of any of the above) with our expert resident retreat masseuse. (£45/ 60 mins., payable direct to the therapist at the time of your appointment).

Retreat Does Not Include:
Transfers from Newquay airport or Truro train station to St. Agnes upon arrival and departure
Accommodation (available from £8 a night, see the accommodation page)
All food, snacks or drinks outside of the welcome drinks and the closing group lunch. A group meal option will be arranged each evening at various St. Agnes restaurants if you would like to attend and cover the cost of your own meal.
